L.A.B. Flying Service has served Alaska since 1956,
making it Alaska's oldest air taxi.
L.A.B. specializes in aerial tours of SE Alaska's famous mountains and glaciers and offers charters to any location in the U.S. and Canada.
Additionally L.A.B. serves ten SE Alaska cities year around with
scheduled passenger,
mail, and cargo service.
A family company, L.A.B. is named for it's founder Layton A. Bennett, a well
known Alaskan bush pilot who was awarded The Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award by the FAA for maintaining safe flight operations for 50 or more consecutive years.
Layton's wife, Lou is an integral
part of the business and also holds a pilots license.
Their three sons, Lynn, Eric and Barton are all rated airline transport
pilots and participate in the management of the company.
